Golden Jots and a NEW PUBLICATION J

There will be two regular mailings sent from the website:  Golden Jots will be event reminder notices, and we’ll be sending a newsletter, The North Star Quarterly, that will give more details about recent and upcoming events. The deadline for contributions to the premiere issue of  The North Star Quarterly is Sunday, September 9, 2007. Then the newsletter will go out the second weeks of October, January, April, and July.

The North Star Quarterly

Besides giving more detail, the NSQ will also be a place where you can do some shameless act of self-promotion (shaoseps, for short) by listing your events, (like if you’re a band and have a gig) or products (self-published books, anyone?) or business ( www.collettsautomotive.com  , for example)  It will be a place to celebrate our successes. (Got published!)  There’s space for editorials, book reviews, poems, excerpts from books or short stories.  It will be what we make it to be.  So get your submissions in!  Send submissions to colletts@omnilec.com  Submission Guidelines:  No profanity, no flaming or libel or slander.  Preferably send information in the main body. 

I’m not savvy enough (yet) to make the new format sing.  When I get there and know what I’m doing better, we can mix it up a little more, okay?  We’ll just let this thing evolve.

Once again, separating things into the 2 formats helps make it a win-win:  the Golden Jots will have “just the facts, ma’am” and The North Star Quarterly will have the information and stories behind-the-scenes.  It actually makes things less labor intensive for us in the long run.

REMEMBER THE MOST IMPORTANT THING:  THE AESTHETIC UNDERGROUND IS FOR THE PEORIA AREA , BY THE PEORIA AREA.   THIS GROUP EXISTS FOR YOU!
